Update May 11, 2017: Angie and its technology consortium partners published a 5G document and press release.

Angie’s nationwide fiber rollout

Angie is a specialist firm, dedicated to the fiber industry and Gigabit market. We want to enter a number of cities simultaneously, rolling out a city-wide Gigabit networks and a Smart City communications grid. City reps or enthusiasts that want to bring Angie to their city prior to the schedule listed below (or even if their city is not listed in the schedule) can get the ball rolling by checking our documents at www.ang.ie/vdr.

Angie is introducing gigabit connectivity at the access level, but wirelessly – we call this “Virtual Fiber to the Home”.

As if that is not revolutionary enough, there are three other revolutionary aspects to Wireless Exreme:

1. You get a Gigabit connection, whenever you need it;

2. You get a Gigabit connection, wherever you need it;

3. You get a Gigabit connection, in all of Angie’s international coverage areas.

Besides building a wireless network based on the most advanced technologies, Angie also builds and brings fiber optic infrastructure to your neighborhood.

The secure Wireless Extreme service is, for example, a great and convenient way to be productive on your laptop or tablet while on the move, out and about. We promise you unrestricted and unlimited Gigabit wireless access anytime, anywhere, anyhow – in all our rolled out markets. (Read more here.)

  • Below you’ll find a preliminary map of Angie’s 87 Gigabit cities across the USA (schedule for the rest of USA cities follows in Q2-2017).
  • 10,000 on-net buildings (no fiber digging needed, only permission from landlord is required for the placement of Angie’s and the fiber partner’s equipment). This process can take up to 3 months.
  • Most buildings near those 10,000 buildings (so-called near-net or off-net) are pre-approved by Angie. We’ll need to dig fiber to those buildings or place 10-Gigabit wireless links on the rooftop. This process can take up to 4 months in most cases due to permits and licensing.
  • The process to get your building (on-net, near-net or off-net) can be found here.

Angie is rolling out Wired Extreme (10 Gigabit Fiber) and Wireless Extreme (Gigabit wireless service) in 87 cities.

Wired Extreme and Wireless Extreme are two revolutionary developments. Angie is commoditizing Wireless Gigabit service and 10 Gigabit Fiber Optic connectivity.
